The Iguana Condo!!! I may need therapy after this one. I just converted a 9x4x7 section of the living room into 3 Iguana apartments. Each one is 3' wide, 4' deep and 7' tall. Here it is from start to finish, click on the pictures to enlarge. The last pic is Bart moving in to his first real enclosure.
Meet the newest member of our family Iggy. Iggy came to us on October 7th from a family that loved him very much but didn't have the room to keep him any more.

Before you give a home to an Iguana there is alot you will need to know. They require much more care than most lizards and become very large. So many Iguanas are abandoned or left to die every year that you really have to be sure that you are ready for the commitment. I am providing a link to an in depth care sheet that has tons of information. Iguanas are wonderful creatures and should be treated, as should all animals, with care and respect. If you want an iguana consider adoption. There are many rescues that can help you to give a loving home to a great pet.

Meet Chub-Chub our little Iguana, this page will be dedicated to his care and growth with updates along the way.
Today is May 21st 2004, day 1 and he has already taken a special place in our hearts. He is getting used to his new home and us. We have alot to learn about diet and care in the next couple of days, we know the basics but want to give him the best care possible.
He is 8 inches long (tail included).
June 5th, Chub-Chub has adjusted nicely to
his new home, he's eating well and really enjoys lounging in his "bath
tub". He's such a cutie I cant wait to see what he looks like when
he grows up.

July 2, 2004, After his first real shed.
Unfortunately Chub-Chub passed away from a parasite infestation shortly after this picture was taken.
