5/22/05 We picked up a Burmese Python today
that was just too big for the owner, hopefully we will be able to find a good
home for her.

This is Oscar, she was brought to us in
November of 2004 by the Philly Police, they found her in a drug house.

This
is our latest rescue, a ball python, came to us by pure accident.
The young couple who had taken it in did not know what to do for
it. They had never had a snake before and had no knowledge of what
to do for it. It was having a bad shed due to improper conditions.
Fortunately they agreed to let us "adopt" the snake. |

I
have never had a ball python before or a snake with a shed gone
this bad, so I consulted my friends at Herp
Center and went to work. After several soakings and alot of
care the snake turned out to be very friendly. |

This
is the same snake just 4 days later. |

And
a head shot. Just goes to show what a little knowledge and some
tlc can do. |

This
is "Precious" she is now named and has been with us for two weeks
here. She is a wonderful little girl and has already given back
by helping me educate the children in the area. |

Carmella,
the RedTail Boa, came to us from Scales
and Tails as an adoption. She is so sweet and hopefully will be added
to our educational talks.
