Hi I'm Jay and this is Grue my Sudan plated lizard.
He was my first rescue. Ever since I took him in, I have been helping abandoned and unwanted reptiles (and other animals). This Web page is dedicated to the animals that live with me. By making this web site, I hope to share any knowledge that I have to help people care for their pets. I am by no means an expert, but I continue to learn more each day.
When keeping any kind of animal, diet and environment are two key things that need to be learned. With reptiles and amphibians temperature and humidity are also very important, if your humidity is too low your pet won't shed properly, if it's too high diseases could set in. Diet is very important, human foods are definitely out, and some veggies are actually bad for animals. Do your research first. Do not be afraid to ask questions if you are not sure about something. There are alot of people out there who are willing to help and if I can not answer your question I can get you in contact with someone who can. And remember to always use more than one source for information.
You can ask me a question here or join my friends and I at Herp Center , we are always ready to help.
